DAWOOD HADDADI, Consultant Trainer
Dawood has substantial experience of working with the local Occupational Therapy services in relation to both the recommendation and provision of adaptations and of delivering these adaptations across a wide range of tenures. Amongst his portfolio of responsibilities for the past 7-8 years has been managing a home improvement agency, delivering a full range of services to the older and vulnerable residents including Handyperson services aimed at delivering minor adaptations, to managing a Housing Occupational Therapist delivering a fast assessment and intervention service. His particular expertise and interest is in providing adaptation services to the able-to-pay sector, who often fall out of the DFG route and find themselves without the necessary support and advocacy to adapt their homes. Dawood is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health, runs his own Housing & Environmental Health Consultancy Company, having acted for the Independent Certifier on the Olympic Village conversion, independently certifying elements of the construction across some 2000 flats and is the sole celebrity on the Viva team, having appeared on TV shows such as ‘Saints and Scroungers’ TV Series and ‘Housing Enforcers’!
